They packed bulky furniture, artwork, delicate collectibles, and china for shipment to 4 separate addresses across the country; delivered the goods to the shipper; packed and delivered to an auction house other furniture, artwork, crystal, and house furnishings; delivered other usable but not valuable household items to Goodwill, and delivered used mattresses and other debris to the Fairfax County landfill.
We are very pleased with the work done by Call the Movers. Linas, general manager, spent several hours with us before the actual work began explaining the process and identifying items (more than we thought) that could be assigned to the auction house, Linas and his men worked hard and efficiently, completing the work in 4 days. Call the Movers provided all of the packing materials, using recycled cartons (1/2 price) when possible. The house was clean and empty when they finished.
All of the shipments to family arrived without problem. Linas followed up several times with us to make sure we received the auction proceeds (the items were auctioned in several sales).
Before selecting Call the Movers to do the work, we considered several other options, including holding an estate sale before hiring someone to clean out the remainder of the house and ship items to family. We realized that we will get as much from the auction house as we would have from an estate sale but the process of getting everything else (shipments to family, donations, etc.) was much easier with Call the Movers.
