This moving company was the best choice I ever made, and I’ve moved many times in the DC area over the past decade. They showed up on time to give me an estimate (which was very reasonable); they came at the designated time to deliver boxes ahead of my move, sent confirmation emails leading up to the move and were punctual the day of the move. They boxed everything in the kitchen, and upon arrival nothing broke. They reassembled all the furniture & did not leave until I was absolutely satisfied with where everything was left. They stuck to the estimate and were very professional and friendly throughout the entire day. I would highly recommend them & will definitely use them in my next move.

The experience from the time of the consultation to the actual move was excellent. The team was at my house at 9:00 sharp. They executed the move flawlessly and were in and out. I would highly recommend using this company for your moving needs.

I had a great experience working with Call the Movers since the moment I left a voicemail and got a return call pretty fast which was helpful so I had more of a peace of mind than to have to make calls to a list of other movers.

The rate was reasonable considering I was asking for 2 people and my move was a 1 bedroom. On moving day, they arrived 30 min earlier which was fine. It was a sunny hot day of about 90 degrees here in Virginia. I was greeted by 3 people instead of 2 but that was fine since the rate didn’t change. I was greeted by Tatenda, Donald and Joseph. I was stressed because my autistic son was with me but they were understanding, flexible, friendly, courteous and helpful all throughout the entire moving process. Even when my kid would try to play with them while they were working. I had 2 stops. One to my storage unit and another to my new apartment. I asked them to do a few more things for me for example “playing Tetris” in my storage unit to ensure all my items were able to fit. No problem for them as they understood and was able to utilize the space more efficiently. What I also notice about them is that they had a plan in place and they knew what to do. For example, one person at the apartment, one person in between and one person in the truck.

You can also tell they have experience in this field of work. For example, they didn’t have to completely take apart my furniture so I was happy that I had my bedframe set up on moving day so I didn’t have to stress about putting it together. Moving is a tough job and I appreciate their hard work. I was very pleased with their moving service and highly recommend them.

TLDR: If you want a stress free, hassle free long distance move, then just give Call the Movers a call. You will not be disappointed.

Call the Movers are nothing short of fantastic. They arrived just a little late to start our move, but communication was great and it was understandable as they were traveling from Fairfax to Norfolk for pickup.

From the first contact to the company, Arnas the owner was professional, prompt, and very informative. He helped us through numerous changes to dates and items. Their website is great and has a customer dashboard where you can upload photos, makes changes to your inventory, choose moving options like packing and extra insurance, and even message the owner directly. All messages sent were responded to in a timely manner.

The team that arrived to pack were very efficient, and finished packing and loading early! The packing that was done was completed with care. The mover in charge of the team (I believe his name was T) was fantastic. The team was so organized and meticulous with our items. T even had another team who were doing an unload in the area come to our home to assist in getting our items loaded faster.

Two huge reasons I chose Call the Movers over other companies was the fact that they do not mix your good with anyone else’s. This is so beneficial because your goods will not be given to someone else. (Which has happened to us before with other companies.) And they bring your goods straight to the destination on long distance moves. This means no 2-3 week time-frame for delivery. They packed and loaded our home in one day, then delivered our goods two days later!

The delivering/unloading team were the same people we had already worked with, including T. They did a fantastic job unloading, re-assembling our furniture, and making sure all of our items ended up in the correct rooms.

The packing was done so well, we only had one very small trinket broken from our entire home! For reference we moved from a 3 bed/2.5 bath 1800 sq ft home. We also had some very large and fragile items like an upright bass and a big green egg grill that arrived with absolutely no damage! No items were lost or stolen and the original quote we were given was what we paid.

Overall, I could not be happier with the decision to use Call the Movers for our long distance move. I have already recommended them to multiple friends. Wonderful management and wonderful employees! Our son loved the colourful trucks and when he was in the home while the packing, loading, and unloading was taking place, all of the team stopped and spoke with him and were so kind!

We are super happy with Call the Movers!!! After more than 30 Air Force and corporate moves, we’ve seen armies of packers. Danielle and Fernando from Call the Movers are incredible packers, best we’ve ever seen!! We needed to pack up everything in our living and dining rooms to prepare for new flooring installation. Timing was important as the flooring was coming the day after the packers. We’ve travelled extensively and there are lots of wood carvings, books, and china, plus a huge pantry/storage closet we needed packed. We needn’t have worried, because Danielle and Fernando worked so hard and moved all the boxes to the spare bedrooms. We’re extremely grateful and totally impressed!! We’ll call them again without hesitation!!

I rarely have the pleasure to write a review that is so favorable. Call the Movers is simply the best contractor I’ve worked with in twenty years. Their work ethic, professionalism, and courtesy are without equal. I highly recommend them without reservation. After doing hours of research and talking with at least six companies, I finally decided to sign with Call the Movers–primarily based upon the excellent reviews across platforms (which I frankly was very sceptical of). They impressed, however, from the inception. Arnas arrived on time to review the scope of our move, asked intelligent and thorough questions, and later provided a solid estimate for the job. He was professional and polite. The bulk of the kudos, however, belongs to the team that actually did the move. They arrived early, waited patiently while I had some final logistics to resolve, and then began to impress. They had the best work ethic of any contractor I’ve ever hired. They were polite, asked questions when necessary, and proceeded to do their job IAW the Golden Rule. Rather than try to upsell you or slow-roll the job, they got right to work, first assessing all that needed to be done and then doing it. Their performance reflects exceptionally well on each individual, the management, and the company as a whole. This was simply the best customer service I’ve experienced in the past two decades. I plan to use them again on my next move and only hope they continue this level of superior service.
